sunshine

ssa51039k.JPG

You wouldn’t believe it – but after 48 hours of rain and a dull grey sky, today was the first day of sunshine here in Oxford – at least for a couple of hours in the afternoon. And even though it’s true that “kein Sunnestrahl isch so starch wie dies Licht…” it was so very soothing to see the sun again…

Today I basically bought all my “subfusc”- clothes, which I will need for the matriculation ceremony next week. I will show you a picture of what that exactly means tomorrow…In the Evening there was a nice jazz-event at the college, free drinks and lots of interesting people. Who can possibly work under such circumstances…

But because I was so awed by the sorely missed sunshine, the picture you see is of the oldest building in Oxford (well to me, most of them look old – it’s hard to tell the difference) in blue sky…

g’night
